Terms & Conditions

These terms and conditions of sale and rental apply to the rental of products and services provided by Messemedia (hereinafter referred to as the lessor) to the customer (hereinafter referred to as the lessee).

By submitting an order or request, the tenant accepts these terms and conditions.


1. Rental period and delivery

The lessor shall deliver the ordered rental products to the lessee's stand before the event starts, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
The rental period normally runs from delivery until the end of the event. The lessee will be charged for the entire rental period, regardless of actual usage time.

Rental products may not be sublet or transferred to third parties without the written consent of the lessor. The lessor reserves the right to demand that the equipment be returned before the end of the rental period if there are objective grounds for doing so.


2. Responsibility for equipment

The lessee is fully responsible for the rental products from delivery until the equipment is returned or collected by the lessor.
Damage, loss, defects, or abnormal wear and tear occurring during the rental period will be charged to the lessee.


3. Landlord's obligations and complaints

The lessor is obliged to make the ordered rental products available to the lessee at the agreed time and place, and in a proper condition.

The lessee is obliged to check the equipment upon delivery. Any defects or faults must be reported to the lessor within a reasonable time after the defect has been, or should have been, discovered.
Failure to do so may result in the loss of the right to claim breach of contract.

In the event of a justified complaint, the lessor may choose to:

  • correct the error

  • supply replacement equipment
    provided that this does not entail unreasonable costs or inconvenience.

If repair or replacement is not possible within a reasonable time, the tenant may demand a proportionate price reduction. In the event of a material breach, the lease agreement may be terminated.


4. Return of equipment

The equipment must remain at the lessee's stand at the end of the event, unless otherwise agreed.
The equipment must be returned in the same condition as when delivered, except for normal wear and tear.

If repairs, extra cleaning or replacements are needed, the costs will be charged to the tenant.


5. Order deadline and changes

Messemedia sets its own order deadlines for each event. The deadlines are set to ensure good planning and delivery.

Orders received after the order deadline may:

  • not guaranteed to be delivered

  • result in a price increase of at least 30%

Changes in quantity or scope within the order deadline can be made without additional charges.


6. Cancellation

Within the booking deadline, the tenant has the right to cancel within 5 working days after booking.

In the event of cancellation after the order deadline, the equipment ordered will be charged in full, regardless of whether the equipment is used.

The landlord reserves the right to limited availability and possible overbooking.


7. Prices

All prices are quoted excluding VAT, unless otherwise specified.
The lessor reserves the right to change prices.

The prices in the online store apply only to the event in question and to exhibitors participating in it. Some events may have additional shipping and logistics costs. If so, this will be stated in the order information.


8. Payment

a) The lessee agrees that Messemedia may invoice for ordered rental products and services. Any administration and environmental fees may apply.

b) For larger deliveries or productions with a total value exceeding NOK 50,000 excluding VAT, the lessor may require partial advance invoicing (on account).

c) Standard payment terms for customers with a Norwegian organization number are 10 days, unless otherwise agreed. Other customers may be invoiced in advance.
